About My Practice
Studying and Practising yoga since 2009.
I decided to study Yoga with deeper intensity and passion since 2015. I felt an urge to quit my software corporate job of 15 years as I wanted to give more time to study Yoga. I attended regular Iyengar Yoga classes from 2009-2015 side-by-side a busy work schedule. When the urge became stronger to understand this intriguing subject of Yoga more deeper, I explored studying Yoga for a month at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala in 2015 but my main study has been the Iyengar style of Yoga of which I am still and will continue to remain a student.
I have since then continued to practice Iyengar yoga as a student feeling a strong connection to the methods which encourage practitioners to perform asanas in a safe and effective way using the principles of alignment, stability in asana with the assistance of props and rigorous training to experience the feeling of oneness.
My tireless self practice regime, my passion and my discipline has helped me to develop into an insightful teacher.

Group Classes
Bhavana conducts regular weekly classes around the Bandra area of Mumbai. Her group classes focus on alignment and help students to explore and discover a wide variety of asanas in a safe and supportive environment. As a teacher her aim is to help students to develop their practice and to strengthen their connection to the body and mind.
Classes are open to students of all ability levels and age.

Yoga Retreats
Yoga retreats offer students the opportunity to become fully immersed in their practice without any of the distractions of their hectic daily schedules.

Workshops
Whether you are a director of a large team in a multi-national company, or managing a small team of professionals, Bhavana's workshop for corporates will allow your employees the chance to reconnect with their bodies, reflect and recharge.
The workshop includes yoga asana practice alongside talks on diet and stress relief. This will not only improve the health and wellbeing by teaching them techniques they can continue to practice at home, but will also improve their productivity and efficiency in the workplace.

Childrens Classes
"I wish I started Yoga when I was a child" is what we all feel when we begin to practice Yoga regularly. This is the reason why every parent must encourage their children to join a yoga class.
Education
Alongside being a teacher, I am a devoted student and am pursuing an ongoing journey of discovery and further education. I continue to study Yoga by attending regular classes under the guidance of Senior Iyengar Yoga teachers from the Iyengar Yoga centres in Mumbai & Pune.
